Bacillus infantis is a spore-forming bacterium. Its spores tolerate heat, moisture and long storage better than most lactic acid bacteria.
It is supplied for dietary supplements, functional foods and animal-feed and aquaculture formulations. Human-grade strain code EB-BI08 is available from 1 to 200 billion CFU/g; animal-grade strain code EB-BI08-A is also available.
